Our Signature details

A Bourrienne shirt is recognizable by its details. The cuts, collars, cuffs, embroidery, and pleats are inspired by historical shirts and reinterpreted by our artistic director, Cécile Faucheur.

The cuts

The volumes of the past are reinterpreted through modern and distinctive lines. Among them, the Bourrienne Cut has now established itself as a signature of the House: a perfectly balanced silhouette, structured by delicate gathers at the back and a slightly dropped shoulder line, offering greater ease of movement.

The collars

Our collars are inspired by archives of vintage shirts. From the most classic to the most elaborate, each one tells a story.

Among our iconic collars are the vintage collar of BOUDOIR and PASTEL’s ruffled collar, inherited from the Renaissance.

The cuffs

Our cuffs are also inspired by vintage shirts, reinterpreting their volumes and details.

Gathers replace traditional ease pleats, gently reshaping the volume.

Embroidery

The House chooses to embroider its logo in white, tone-on-tone, on a bar tack reinforcing the side seam.

The name of each shirt is also embroidered tone-on-tone on the inside of the right cuff.

Craftsmanship

Bourrienne Paris X collaborates with French artisans whose time-honored expertise brings unique shirts to life.

Our braids are reinterpreted from the historic frescoes of the Hôtel de Bourrienne and crafted by a workshop in northern France.

The period pleats are handcrafted by Breton artisans, creating unique plastrons.

The cufflinks are crafted by a silversmith in southern France.
