Pre-fall 2026

The Autumn–Winter 2026/2027 collection by Bourrienne Paris X draws its inspiration from the painter’s studio, taking as its starting point the world of Nicolas de Staël, one of the defining figures of 20th-century French art.

“Nicolas de Staël has always inspired me, as much through his work as through his presence. I imagined this collection as the wardrobe of an artist at work, in a studio in the heart of winter.”

— Cécile Faucheur

Inspired by the world of Nicolas de Staël, the Autumn–Winter 2026 collection explores northern landscapes, natural materials and the freedom of the creative gesture. Through artists' shirts, reimagined icons and new silhouettes, Winter Studios celebrates a quiet elegance designed to endure.

Inspiration

Since the creation of Bourrienne Paris X, Nicolas de Staël has been a constant source of inspiration for the Maison. Beyond his paintings, it is his presence, the way he inhabited his clothes and the freedom that runs through his work that have shaped this collection.

The landscapes of the North, with their greys, deep blues and mineral tones, become a textile palette where every fabric translates a sensation.

Materials

This season, our designer Cécile Faucheur explores a selection of winter fabrics inspired by Nicolas de Staël's palette:

An off-white linen blended with wool, recalling the natural tones of raw canvas.

An Italian grey cotton flannel, soft and enveloping, bringing depth to the winter wardrobe.

An Italian striped poplin, where the light plays delicately across the surface thanks to a subtle bi-textured effect.

Silhouettes

For men, the silhouettes evoke the freedom of the painter at work: generously cut shirts that move effortlessly with every gesture.

For women, the collection explores new volumes. Sleeve construction is reimagined, while collars, cuffs and bib fronts are revisited to create sculptural silhouettes.

Completing the collection are two high-collar jackets—one for men and one for women—crafted in the Maison's signature linen.

Through these fabrics and silhouettes, Winter Studios celebrates the quiet strength of the creative gesture, where clothing, like painting itself, becomes a presence.
