HISTORY OF COTTON: The cultivation of cotton seems to go back to the dawn of time, all over the world evidence of the use of this fiber is known from Pakistan 4500 BC to Peru 500 BC. Its use is inseparable from the history of mankind. It was not until the first century that the trade in cotton spread to the West. The cotton tree is a shrub native to India that produces flowers and fruits. These capsule-shaped fruits contain between six and twelve seeds, all covered with long single-cell hairs composed mainly of cellulose, which are the cotton fibres. During the 17th and 18th centuries, France produced and processed cotton, but it was the mechanization of its production that revolutionized its cultivation, particularly the British invention of spinning machines. MAINTENANCE : Cotton is one of the easiest fibres to care for, however some fabrics are more delicate, especially because of their softness and fineness. This is why it is important to take care of beautiful pieces even if the fibre can withstand high temperatures. Your cotton shirt is machine washable, we advise not to exceed 30°c. Used occasionally, white vinegar in the washing powder will help to keep the shine of the white. Machine drying is strongly discouraged, recommend a natural drying for a longer life of your garment. Iron your shirt on the cotton programme, slightly damp. POPELINE : It is a fine and light fabric with a regular weave, the weft and warp are woven perpendicularly. The result of this tight junction is the smooth and matt surface of the fabric.
