Charles de Vilmorin x Bourrienne Paris X

Bourrienne Paris X and Charles de Vilmorin sign their first joint collection.

On one side, Bourrienne Paris X: the white shirt, Parisian savoir-faire inherited from the Directoire era, a carefully chosen material, a cut, a standard of excellence. On the other, Charles de Vilmorin and haute couture.

This is where the two houses meet: in exacting standards, the quality of a fabric, the precision of a cut, attention to detail.

This collaboration has resulted in four ready-to-wear pieces, extended by a couture wardrobe developed alongside the collection.

The Making Of

Everything at Bourrienne Paris X starts from a place: the Hôtel de Bourrienne, on rue d'Hauteville.

At the end of the 18th century, Fortunée Hamelin hosted a salon there. A "Merveilleuse" of the Directory period, queen of Parisian society, she embodied one of those women who reinvented fashion in the aftermath of the Revolution. Silhouettes became freer, fabrics lighter, and boldness replaced the codes of the Ancien Régime. It is said that she was the one who brought the shirt back to the heart of the female wardrobe.

It is from this spirit of freedom and modernity that Bourrienne draws its inspiration, season after season. And this is where Charles de Vilmorin naturally finds his place: the Directory was never a conservative era, but a time of celebration and reinvention. His couture extends its audacity.

For this exclusive capsule collection by Charles de Vilmorin x Bourrienne Paris X, each model is named after a "Merveilleuse": Joséphine, Thérésa, Juliette, Fortunée.
