My Little Paris: Harvest of fresh peonies

Fresh Peonies Harvest

In Normandy, on his organic farm, Charles grows entire fields of peonies. For the past few days, he has been gazing at them: the buds swell, the colors pierce, the petals open. It's time.

Next Thursday, he will load his antique Peugeot with armfuls of flowers to deliver them to the heart of Paris. And not anywhere. The doors of the Bourrienne mansion will open to welcome Charles, his bed of country peonies and Parisians curious to breathe in the contents of his trunk. Brilliant white? Shy pink? Deep purple? Choose the shades and leave with your bouquet of fragrant peonies under your arm, for €1 per stem. From their Norman field to your living room, they will have had a nice walk. And you too.

Micro peony market at €1 a stem, May 28 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the courtyard of the Bourrienne hotel at 58 rue d’Hauteville, 10th. The sale is done outdoors but wearing a mask is highly recommended.
