OSONS RÊVER: A CAPSULE INSPIRED BY THE OLYMPIC SPIRIT

“OSONS RÊVER” - BOURRIENNE PARIS X

On the occasion of the 2024 Olympic Games, BOURRIENNE PARIS X is honored to present its new capsule collection of shirts, "OSONS RÊVER" (DARE TO DREAM). This capsule is dedicated to all fashion and elegance enthusiasts, to all dreamers in pursuit of optimism, hope, and personal challenge.
A CAPSULE INSPIRED BY THE OLYMPIC SPIRIT

"OSONS RÊVER" evokes a bold invitation to pursue one's dreams without fear or hesitation. This capsule is inspired by a vision of hope, courage, and determination, encouraging everyone to surpass their limits and believe in their deepest aspirations. It is a call to optimism and personal achievement, highlighting the importance of passion and perseverance.
WOMEN IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES, A LONG AND CHALLENGING ROAD

During this symbolic month, Bourrienne Paris X retraces the history of the first Women's Olympic Games organized by Alice Milliat in August 1922. After multiple requests to include more women in the events and two refusals from Pierre de Coubertin, Alice Milliat decided to organize these games herself, provocatively naming them the "Women's Olympic Games." However, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) rejected this designation and quickly renamed them the "World Games." Thanks to her commitment, seventy-seven young women from the United States, France, Great Britain, Switzerland, and Czechoslovakia competed in thirteen athletics events.
FASHION & SPORT: A FRENCH STORY

The Women's Olympic Games played a decisive role in the evolution of fashion norms, forcing the liberation of women's bodies. From strict to functional clothing, fashion affirmed women's autonomy and their ability to excel in fields previously reserved for men. As early as 1920, Suzanne Lenglen made her mark with a white dress on a tennis court. The French beret in Paris in 1924, the blue and white wrap-over top in Athens in 2004, and the futuristic uniforms created by André Courrèges for Olympic staff in 1972 are all examples of the influence of fashion in sport.
Like Suzanne Lenglen, our model Shade wears a long white pleated skirt. This EN 円 skirt, created in collaboration with the renowned Japanese brand YLÈVE, features the iconic pleats of BOURRIENNE, extended in length. The waistline is accentuated by tabs inspired by the historical shirt plastron pulls. Additionally, the skirt is highlighted by a cinching belt that subtly elongates and refines the silhouette.
