Each shirt in the Essential Line is numbered from I to VI, representing the six Essentials of the men’s wardrobe. The white shirt, like a blank page for the one who wears it.
As with all its models, the Maison has chosen to embroider its logo tone-on-tone, white on white, instead of using a label. A subtle detail, revealing a taste for discreet elegance. The swallow also bears the Bourrienne insignia, while the model name is finely embroidered inside the right cuff.
The straight cut, with its perfect fit, has been designed is designed to be worn just as well under a suit as with jeans. The gathers in the sleeves replace the traditional two pleats and are borrowed from vintage shirts.
The Bourrienne flower embroidered on the left cuff is a symbol of attachment to the heritage of the Hôtel de Bourrienne and the French art of living. Characteristic of the Directoire era, stylized flowers and botanical arabesques symbolized delicacy and refinement.
Removable collar stays in gold or silver are also available to ensure perfect collar support — a discreet detail known only to the wearer. To highlight the French cuffs of shirts Numéro III and VI, the Maison proposes its signature cufflinks, featuring the Hôtel de Bourrienne flower as a nod to the embroidery on the cuff.
